Synopsis
Deuxième Guerre mondiale. Le Lieutenant Ward Stewart, membre d'équipage à bord d'un sous-marin éclaireur, et son commandant Dewey Connors, entretiennent une relation de profonde amitié jusqu'au jour où les deux hommes se rendent compte que la maîtresse de Stewart n'est autre que la femme de Connors. Cependant, la découverte d'une base nazie en plein milieu de l'Atlantique va obliger les deux anciens amis à oublier leur discorde et à s'unir face à l'ennemi.
