Trama
Alla fine dell'Ottocento il proprietario di un negozio di calzature, che dirige in modo tirannico, pretende il massimo dal suo lavorante e dalle proprie figlie. La figlia maggiore si ribella e sposa il lavorante, che spinge a mettersi in proprio.
