Un gruppo di vecchie amiche decidono di adottare misure estreme per far tornare la pace tra madre e figlia, aiutando quest'ultima, una giovane commediografa di successo, a scoprire chi sia veramente la complicata e anticonformista madre, per poterla capire ed accettare, dimenticando i dolori del passato.
